Our Practice in Medford

Dr. Justin Catando is a NJ Board Certified Optometric Physician, specializing in Systemic Disease Detection and Microvascular Retinal Diseases resulting from Diabetes and Hypertension, using the latest Imaging technology of the Optic Nerve.

A south jersey native, Dr. Catando grew up in Galloway and graduated from Trenton State College in 1992, where he obtained an Undergraduate Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry with a Minor in Physics. He attended Graduate School at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry, where he first received a Bachelors in Optics in 1995.

He later performed his residency training under Dr. Michael Kay, M.D. at Wills Eye Hospital; Dr. Vincent Young, M.D. at Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia; and Dr. Wooldridge O.D., F.A.A.O. at Moran Eye Center in Salt Lake City, Utah. In 1997, he obtained his Doctorate in Optometry, with Clinical Honors.

After a decade of private practice partnerships in Marlton and Philadelphia, Dr. Catando opened his own private practice at Budd Optical in 2001.

He and his wife Danielle married in 2003 and are now raising four beautiful daughters together. While Danielle was originally a special education teacher in Marlton, she joined him in building the family practice of Catando Eye Associates in 2014.
